About Henki
Henki Art is a gallery dedicated to exploring diverse expressions of water in contemporary art. We believe water is more than a subject; it is a force, a language, and a cultural framework. Henki Art seeks to build a lasting legacy: to become the defining reference point for how water is understood, imagined, and experienced through art in our time.
Our Mission
Through exhibitions, publications, and international collaborations, we support artists who work with water as medium, metaphor, and method. Our mission is to become an unavoidable gallery in the art history of water.
Our Program
Henki Art’s year-round program unfolds across three interconnected directions: 1. Water as Material and Medium – artists who work with water physically. 2. Water as Cultural and Symbolic Structure – identity, migration, memory, and politics. 3. Water as Time – tide rhythms, ecological cycles. Anchoring this program is the Henki Art Prize, an annual international open call inviting artists worldwide to engage with water in all its complexity.
