About Henki

Henki Art is a gallery dedicated to the diverse expressions of water in contemporary art. Founded with an international outlook, it is among the first galleries to establish water as the central focus of a contemporary commercial gallery program. We approach water not only as a subject, but as a force, a language, and a cultural framework. Across oceans, rivers, rain, ice, tears, memory, migration, ecology, and time, water shapes how human life is experienced and imagined. Through exhibitions, publications, and research-led initiatives, Henki Art brings together artists whose practices engage with water in its many forms, building a lasting cultural platform around water-related art.

Our Mission

Our mission is to establish the cultural, curatorial, and commercial foundations of water-related art, positioning Henki Art as a defining reference point for artists, collectors, curators, and institutions. We pursue this mission through exhibitions, publications, the Henki Art Prize, and international collaborations that advance the visibility, understanding, and collection of water-related art.

Our Program

Henki Art’s program is built around water as a curatorial field. Rather than treating water as a theme, we follow how it appears across contemporary practice: as material, atmosphere, geography, memory, ritual, movement, and ecological condition. This allows Henki Art to bring together artists whose works may differ in medium, culture, and language, but who share a deeper engagement with fluidity, transformation, and the forces that shape human experience. Through exhibitions, publications, and the Henki Art Prize, Henki Art is developing a focused international program and archive for water-related art, connecting artistic practice with collectors, curators, and institutions interested in one of the most essential subjects of our time.
