Published on the occasion of the 2025 Henki Art Prize, this volume brings together the winning, shortlisted, and longlisted artists selected for this year’s edition. Conceived as both a prize publication and an ongoing record of Henki Art’s curatorial program, the catalogue reflects on water not simply as subject, but as a condition shaping memory, movement, transformation, and continuity across contemporary life.
Inspired by the words of Pope Francis, this year’s theme, Camminare – Avanti, camminate sempre, considers movement as an act of persistence: a refusal of stagnation, and a commitment to continue forward through uncertainty and change. Across photography, sculpture, installation, painting, and moving image, the selected works approach water as both material and metaphor, a force that carries histories, reshapes landscapes, and reflects the evolving relationship between humanity and the natural world.
The publication includes a newly curated essay alongside artist texts and full-color reproductions of the exhibited works. Printed in English on Mohawk Superfine, the catalogue is designed as a lasting physical document of the 2025 edition and Henki Art’s continuing exploration of water-related art.
